Burwood Westerners Club Membership Forms are upon request to burwoodwestern@btinternet.com All forms will be sent out as word & PDF documents. Membership rates are £15 per person.
The Clubs Objectives are:
1. To promote the sport of western riding and increasing the number of western riders. 2. To provide coaching and riding opportunities for local western riders. 3. To provide clinics and shows for all levels of rider in a supportive and unintimidating atmosphere. 4. To provide social and non riding events such as demonstrations, lectures, etc… 5. To provide regular communication with it’s members via e-mail correspondence and newsletters. Anyone wishing to receive postal correspondence should provide 4 SAE’s on 1st January each year. 6. To publicise the sport through press and other organisations. 7. To affiliate to the British Reining as the member body of the British Equestrian Federation.
Constitution
The club shall be run by founder members Janet & Ray Burwood.
Financial records will be kept and will be available to any member upon request.
There will be a separate club bank account.
The club will maintain a suitable club insurance policy.
Subscription rates shall be decided annually and shall be renewable on the 1st of January each year. There will be a late administration fee of £10 for renewals received after the 1st of February.
All members must have adequate third party insurance and up to date vaccination / Passport for their horse which must be available on demand.
The club will have a dedicated Child Protection and Welfare Officer and First Aid Officer.
There will be an Annual Club meeting each year where members may raise any matters they wish to be discussed.
Membership of the Club is a privilege and not a right and membership may be denied or rescinded at any time.
On completing and signing the membership application form, you will be deemed to have agreed to abide by this Constitution and any other rules or regulations that are put in place in the future.
Code of Conduct
No Member Shall:
Act in an unsporting manner.
Conduct themselves in a manner which is detrimental to the character and/or Prejudicial to the interests of the Club, or brings it into disrepute.
Conduct themselves at an event in a manner which is offensive to other members or the public.
Mistreat or abuse in anyway a horse at an event or elsewhere.
Discriminate against any person on the grounds of age, gender, disability, race, language, ethnic origin, nationality, colour, parental or marital status, pregnancy, religious belief, class or social background, sexual orientation, gender reassignment or political belief.
Policies
The club adopts the policy as set out by British Reining and the BEF in respect of Child Protection and Equity, Health and Safety, Horse Welfare and Drug Free Sport.
